Job Title: Warehouse & Production Manager 

Warehouse estimated hours are 12-16/week
Production Manager hours are 12-16/ week

Hourly Position: $24.50 + health benefits
Location: Ucluelet, BC

Start Date: ASAP

About Us:
The Den Refillery, founded in 2019 by Kristen O’Keefe and Diane Rudge in Ucluelet, BC, is a sustainable retail haven dedicated to promoting eco-conscious living. Via our retail locations in Ucluelet & Tofino, we offer curated wellness products, refill stations, and have pioneered the Sustainable & Circular Accommodation Program (SCAP) to revolutionize hospitality. We are currently seeking a Warehouse & Production Manager to lead our in-house product production and inventory operations, ensuring the highest quality standards for our natural skincare and bath products.

Responsibilities:

1.Assistant Production Manager

    Producing products and following recipes already developed

    • Reporting raw ingredient inventory and supplies to Production Manager
    • Transferring product between shop locations as needed, and communicating inventory needs with the Store Manager
    • Monitor stock levels for a consistent and adequate stock supply for both store locations, online sales and wholesale accounts/ warehouse back stock
    • Maintaining a clean and safe work space up to code

     

    Requirements

    • Interest in holistic natural skincare
    • Past experience working with natural skincare not essential but beneficial
    • Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, and adapt to changing job requirements as needed.
    2.Warehouse Management 

      Oversee and optimize warehouse operations to ensure efficient handling, storage, and distribution of products and materials (Retail & Refillery) 

      • Assist SCAP & Store manager with effective systems to maintain accurate records of stock levels
      • Manage the receiving and shipping processes, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
      • Organize regular store replenishments and coordinate with retail teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
      • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
      • Develop and train new employees at the warehouse, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
      3. Quality Control and Process Improvement:
        • Implement quality control measures to ensure all products meet company standards.
        • Continuously assess production and warehouse processes for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
        • Collaborate with the leadership team to provide insights and recommendations for 
        4.Support for SCAP Program & Retail Team :
          • Work with the SCAP team to ensure that warehouse and production processes align with the program's sustainability goals & stock levels 
          • Support inventory and supply chain needs for the Retail team with receiving inventory and preparing store transfers.

          Qualifications:

          • Proven experience in production and warehouse management, ideally in the skincare, cosmetics, or similar industry.
          • Strong organizational skills
          • Experience with inventory management a plus 
          • Strong multitasking skills a must
          • Detail oriented 
          • Knowledge of natural skincare ingredients and production processes is a plus.
          • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
          • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
          • Commitment to sustainability and eco-conscious business practices.

          Sample Schedule: 10am to 5pm 

          Sunday - Production Den Line / Cover Lunch (6hrs)
          Monday - Warehouse / Cover Lunch (cleaning buckets, restocking 4 Litre back stock & stores) & Assisting with store transfers, submitting inventory requests to SCAP Manager (8hrs)
          Tuesday -  Production Den Line & Assistant Store Manager (8hrs)
          Wednesday - Warehouse & Production as needed / Cover lunch (6hrs)
