Their operations are integrated into a completely closed loop system, with goals to achieve near zero waste and minimize carbon footprints. Closed loop systems - At The Den, we recognize the finite nature of resources and strive to manage them sustainably for future generations. Our refill program helps eliminate single-use items by re-using and repurposing larger containers within the community and utilizing natural ingredients in our protects to protect local ecosystems.

Evergreen: A Gold Tier Partner
Evergreen Cleaning Co. is an exemplary Gold Tier Partner. April and Jamie were both born and raised in Tofino on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht people. They grew up alongside each other when Tofino was just a small town, and everybody knew everybody. As adults, they connected over their appreciation for quality cleaning, curating beautiful spaces, and a mutual love of cold ocean dips.
When dreaming up Evergreen Co.—a short term rental management and cleaning company in Tofino—they knew that sustainability had to be at the forefront of their business model.
Their goal was to provide a quality guest experience while being mindful of the environment. The travel industry is one that they both love but it is often known for its negative impact on communities, their natural spaces and wildlife.
S.C.A.P. has played a pivotal role in allowing them to accomplish this goal of a closed loop system. All Evergreen properties are cleaned using Mint Cleaning Co products and toiletries supplied by The Den in reusable and refillable containers. All single use items are biodegradable, ocean safe, and they take care to recycle and compost appropriate waste from every site. Guests are informed on the importance of their participation in this process helping to grow awareness in their guests after they check out.
