moringa leaf: moringa is a large tree native to South India. the super powered leaf of the tree is used for it’s antioxidants, vitamins B2, B6, C, iron, magnesium, beta-carotene + protein- wow! it may help with inflammation, lowering blood sugar + cholesterol levels! now that’s something to write home about.
spirulina: this blue green algae thrives in an alkaline fresh water system + loves sunshine. used for helping the good bacteria in our gut to flourish + may also help detox heavy metals (so important!). spirulina may increase production of antibodies (infection fighting good guys!) + reduce inflammation. not only that, spirulina has been shown to be full of protein, as well as all essential amino acids which may assist in supporting energy levels!
nettle leaf: the leaves of the stinging nettle plant have been used for it’s vitamin + mineral content for ages - especially for magnesium, calcium, iron, potassium. nettle is known as a powerful antioxidant, antiviral, + antibacterial. nettle may help decrease overall inflammation in the body, as well as heal the mucosal lining of the stomach which in turn may help with many digestive issues (love your guts!).
chlorella: this single celled, green freshwater algae is known to be high in protein, iron, omega 3’s, + B12. chlorella is used as a powerful antioxidant as well as to bind to + eliminate heavy metals from our body which may in turn support a stronger immune system. not only this, chlorella is used also as an anti-inflammatory, + has been said to help manage respiratory diseases, relieve premenstrual symptoms, + support healthy digestion! small yet oh- so powerful.
kale: this green superfood is used for it’s nutrient dense vitamin + mineral profile + as a powerful antioxidant (all hale the kale!). it may also be your friend when it comes to a healthy digestive tract, better eyesight, + supporting cardiovascular health!
kelp: used in East Asian diets for centuries, kelp is known to be high in antioxidants (hello carotenoids, flavoids, + alkaloids, good bye free radicals!). this seaweed has been used for it’s calcium, iodine, potassium, magnesium, + iron content. what’s more, it may help support a healthy liver, improve circulation, + may assist in protecting the brain.
